Local Volunteers

Face of Justice has always been empowered by its volunteers. Needless to say, local Costa Rican volunteers have been the key to our sustainability. Our community of volunteers is the lasting legacy of transformation on the streets of San José, and the hearts of many.

“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.”

— Mahatma Gandhi

We have many teams within our association that are looking for volunteers that will strengthen and multiply our efforts against human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation. Some of the field operation opportunities include street ministry – encountering those working in prostitution, entrepreneurial workshop projects in the Red Zone, and certain roles in our safe house. We also have opportunities within our administrative and logistics team, working in our headquarters’ office.

If you’re interested in joining us as a local volunteer please fill out the application and we’ll contact you with more info on the available volunteering opportunities and next steps into joining our family!

Local Volunteer Quotes

It was incredible to see the way that God's hand radically changed lives, and to be a part of it. Face of Justice is a big family, it is a place of hope, and it is a place where those in need find help; but more than that, it is an instrument God uses to bring His Kingdom to earth...the only rule is to be full of His love and show it to others.

Working with FOJ has been understanding that Grace is all about the power of love. It's trusting God's timing, believing that He is working even if we don't get to see the fruit. It's taught me to be faithful in planting seeds, and trusting that He has the rest
