We operate under the following definition of Justice

Righting the wrongs brought against vulnerable populations by those more powerful than they.

DOING justice is in our DNA. We look for it in the eyes of the people we meet on the streets. We chase it through hugs, birthday parties, doctor appointments, school exams, and quiet morning moments with our girls at our Freedom House. We demand it from government child welfare offices, courts and human rights agencies. We offer it in the form of a hot breakfast for prostituted women in the Red Zone . We will not stop until the errors have been corrected in the world. When justice calls, will you listen?

Hope, freedom and love

Hope, freedom and love are the principles that drive our work. These are so essential at Face of Justice that we name our 3 shelters in San José with these words. Hope House is our daytime shelter for prostituted women in the Red Zone of San José. Freedom House is our 24/7 safe home for underage girls who have survived sexual exploitation. And Agape House is our bimonthly street church where we share a meal and a relationship with our friends from the streets.

Hope House provides refuge for women seeking to leave prostitution behind. Through mentorship, discipleship, and practical life-skills training, they are supported as they rebuild their lives with dignity and purpose.

Grace House is where the journey continues. After turning 18, these young women transition into independent living while continuing their education, receiving emotional support, and setting goals for their future.

Freedom House is a place of safety and healing. Here, girls ages 11–17 who have been rescued from sexual exploitation and trafficking receive 24/7 care. They are given the chance to rediscover childhood through life-skills training, nourishing meals, exercise, art, animal therapy, and both group and individual counseling—all while attending local schools full-time and beginning to dream again.
